Job Description & How to Apply Below
CONTROLLER | PE-BACKED, HIGH-GROWTH BUSINESS | REMOTE (NY & NEIGHBORING STATES) Please don't apply unless you have substantial Controller experience in a fast-growing, small to mid-sized, PE-backed business. This is a hands-on role for someone who has done it before, not someone looking to take their first step into the position. While the role offers remote or hybrid flexibility, candidates must be based in New York State or a neighboring state, or be willing to relocate to the area, occasional travel to HQ will be required.

Our Client

Our client offers an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, private equity-backed business undergoing significant transformation.

Following multiple acquisitions, the business is integrating several entities into a unified financial infrastructure, implementing a new ERP system and transitioning to GAAP accrual accounting.

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Controller will own day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities while helping build the processes, controls and infrastructure needed to support the next phase of growth.

This is a hands-on position offering genuine ownership, visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to make a tangible impact.

You must meet ALL of the following requirements to be considered:
  • CPA or MBA qualified
  • at least 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
, including substantial, hands-on Controller experience.
  • Private equity-backed business experience

  • Hands-on ERP implementation and/or migration experience. You must have had significant involvement in an implementation or migration.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
, including GAAP accrual accounting, revenue recognition, intercompany accounting and consolidations.
  • Post-acquisition accounting integration experience
, including chart of accounts standardisation, opening balance journal entries, historical data migration and process alignment.
  • Location: The role is Remote, but some travel to HQ will be required. Candidates must therefore be based in New York State or a direct neighbouring state, or be willing to relocate to the area.
To avoid disappointment please don't apply unless you can honestly meet all of these requirements above.
