As our next Lead Estimator, you’ll play a vital role in driving Milcon’s growth and delivering high-quality results for our clients. You’ll manage the full estimating process, collaborate closely with PMs, foremen, and the owner, and work on diverse projects that help shape our community. As Milcon's Lead Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in our growth and success. You’ll:

• Lead the Estimating Process: Prepare detailed estimates and timely bid submissions for complex civil construction projects. Read and interpret plans and specifications and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.

  You'll understand contract management, submittals, scheduling and material procurement.
• Champion

  Work side by side with our PMs, foreman, and owner from bid to project closeout.
• Drive Results: Oversee project setup, change orders, and help ensure cost-effective, successful implementations.
• Build Relationships: Negotiate, communicate, and foster trust with clients, owners, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of proven expertise in civil construction estimating, such as utilities, earthwork, or road construction
• Mastery of construction processes from bidding to closeout, equipment choices, and safety standards
• Experience with Heavy Bid construction software and MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Strong understanding of specs and blueprints with high level of attention to detail
• Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude and a drive to continuously learn and deliver better outcomes
