Hours:

Part Time, primarily 6:30 AM–3:00 PM; 40 hours per pay period; includes weekends, holidays, flex, float.

• Responsible for financial counseling, collecting co‑pays and deductibles, and providing financial assistance education to patients and their families.
• Complete stat registration and appointment scheduling, entering all pertinent financial and demographic information into the ADT system.
• Verify insurance benefit information, generate ABNs, review orders for compliance, and complete MSP.
• Obtain financial and treatment consents, place ordered medical procedures, and obtain pre‑certification when applicable while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to hospital financial policies and secure payment for the patient’s liability.

• High School completion or GED required.
• Preferred:
  Associate’s degree in healthcare or related business field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience; experience in customer service, clerical work, hospital/medical office, or insurance company preferred. Class work may substitute prior experience.
• Proficient in Windows‑based computer technology; typing at least 25 wpm.
• Preferred:
  Medical Terminology certification.
• Demonstrated customer focus with patience, composure, compassion; ability to manage ambiguity, strong time‑management, interpersonal skills; maintain excellent customer service standards with providers, patients, and coworkers.
