Position: HRIS Project Analyst (Contract) – Paycor

Overview

Love backend HRIS work and cleaning up messy data? We’re hiring a hands-on HRIS Backend & Data Scrubbing Analyst to tackle critical HRIS cleanup and system readiness ahead of a 2026 HRIS platform transition. This is a true doer role—you’ll be deep in Paycor, scrubbing data, fixing issues, and getting the system migration-ready. If you thrive on backend cleanup, data accuracy, and seeing immediate results from your work, this role is for you.

Onsite in Troy, OH. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Troy, OH. No relocation package is offered.

Must-Have Requirements
  • Strong Paycor experience (HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, Time, Reporting, Workflows)
  • Comfortable working directly in the Paycor system every day — not overseeing others
  • Hands-on HRIS backend cleanup and data scrubbing experience
  • Proven skills in data cleanup, GL mapping, workflow configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with payroll and benefits file setup, testing, and validation
  • Exposure to compliance reporting (ACA, 1095s, audits, retention requirements)
  • High initiative with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
  • Strong focus on data integrity, accuracy, and system logic
What You’ll Do
  • Scrub, clean, and optimize backend HRIS data in Paycor
  • Prep HR, Payroll, and Benefits data for a 2026 HRIS transition
  • Audit and standardize employee, payroll, benefits, and org data
  • Clean up job structures, workflows, earnings, deductions, and legacy records
  • Map and troubleshoot payroll-to-GL structures
  • Test payroll and benefits file feeds before processing
  • Support audits and compliance readiness
  • Document cleanup rules and migration assumptions for future systems
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in HRIS, Payroll Systems, or HR Operations
  • Strong Paycor experience preferred
  • Experience supporting HRIS cleanup or system transitions
  • Manufacturing or multi-site experience a plus

A strong match may also come from a payroll background. Payroll professionals with experience in deductions, tax mappings, GL integrations, data auditing, and benefits interfaces often excel in this role.
