American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Senior Specialist in Troy, OH. Joining the Transportation and Cost Planning department, you will manage procurement, forecasting, and supplier operations for battery recycling, core management, and circular economy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead procurement, recycling, and supplier management for electric vehicle (BEV) and hybrid battery packs.
- Manage core parts inventory, distribution logistics, and dealer core credit charge reconciliations.
- Generate demand forecasts and purchase orders for replacement batteries and service remanufactured parts.
- Manage third-party recycling contracts and audit dealer documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Track department operational KPIs, investigate variances, and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience (automotive service parts preferred).
- Solid understanding of parts forecasting, commercial negotiations, and circular economy/recycling practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise supply chain management systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational capabilities.
