Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Mactac North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facility maintenance on the second shift.
Summary
Provide support for production lines, installation, fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, move and maintain a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems.
Second Shift
: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties include the application of one or more craft skills (mechanical, electrical, welding, pipe fitting, machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move and maintain a variety of production, related equipment, and facilities.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and systems such as motors, pumps, piping systems, conveyor systems, furnaces, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, extruders, chemical tanks, production machinery, and instrumentation equipment.
- Installs new machinery and equipment and moves machinery and equipment to effect layout changes as required.
- Performs operations such as rigging, moving, erecting, aligning, and making necessary hook‑ups, placing equipment in proper operating condition.
- Performs preventative maintenance activities of all types, including critical dismantling, re‑assembly, adjustment, lubrication, and calibration.
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong knowledge of electronics, electrical, HVAC, hydraulics, machining, and mechanical theory.
- Previous experience in an industrial fluid application facility is preferable.
- Strong oral and written communication, excellent computer skills, ability to multi‑task and prioritize work, and attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, lift, or crawl for extended periods.
- Must regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must provide hand tools and toolbox.
- Must have a valid Forklift Operator's license or have completed required training.
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred certification in electronics, electrical, HVAC, machining, and/or mechanical theory.
- 3–5 years of general production maintenance experience including craft skills (mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain equipment and systems at journeyman level.
