Position: Manufacturing Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Location: Troy, OH – 101 Waco Street, Troy, OH 45373, USA
Shift: Monday – Friday, 3 pm – 11 pm

What You Will Do- Work with production control to create a week‑by‑week schedule and assign operators accordingly.
- Collaborate with QoE’s & ME’s to improve processes within the cell, eliminating rework and scrap.
- Coordinate priorities and needs with 1st and 3rd shift supervisors.
- Establish recovery plans to meet daily and weekly production targets.
- Consolidate and communicate overall cell results (control tower ownership).
- Ensure robust root‑cause and corrective actions (DAISE) for major monthly misses at the cell control tower level.
- Celebrate cell achievements when performance exceeds expectations.
- Execute Macro Plan activities, supporting four annual Lean Leadership Weeks.
- Communicate, train, guide, and counsel hourly associates, reinforcing continuous improvement strategies (5S, Flow, Ahead/Behind visual management, SWIP, Line Back Logistics, product/process families).
- Direct operator activities—including training, performance appraisals, discipline, safety, communications, and opportunity resolution.
- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with CORE/CI to support site transformation roadmaps.
- Align cells through product/process family alignment per defined plans.
- Implement JIT/JIS material management philosophy.
- Ensure daily operation according to the six principles of Operations Management.
- Adhere to Standard Work (time‑based) for all functions.
- Use closed‑loop systems for corrective actions on all losses.
- Output, hours, on‑time delivery, inventory (WIP, SWIP to WIP ratio).
- Lead time reduction.
- Productivity, efficiency, utilization, OEE increases.
- Yield, process capability improvements.
- Schedule stabilization and safety improvements.
- Scrap, rework, and repair reduction (SRR).
- Lead special projects as needed.
- University degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in operations‑related management roles (hands‑on supervision).
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, special processing, assembly).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- SAP knowledge.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams.
- Direct working experience at the Troy W&B site or with its products.
- Background in aerospace work environments.
- Experience with automotive production systems (Lean, ACE, TPS, DBS).
