Stonyridge Veterinary Services-Lead Registered Veterinary Technician

Troy, OH

Full-time-4-10-hour shifts

Hours: M-F 8a-6p

Stonyridge Veterinary Services is looking for a Lead RVT to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. As an RVT, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

  • Registered Veterinary Technician-required
  • Minimum of 3 years veterinary experience as a nurse or technician highly preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year leadership or management experience preferred
  • Strong veterinary skill set
  • Confident and reliable
  • Surgical/anesthesia experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Assertive and proficient
  • Team player
Essential Functions
  • Coordiante staff duties, direct flow on the floor
  • Participate and develop staff evaluations
  • Training/mentorship
  • Evaluate performance/goals
  • Maintain open communication with staff and leadership
  • Oversee controlled substance and surgery logs
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Have accountability and disciplinary conversations with employees
