Shift Lead

Summary

A Shift Lead at S&G Stores provides direct support to the Store Manager, ensures the store operates efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies, manages employees, and collaborates with the Store Manager to maximize sales and profits while maintaining asset controls.

$14.00/hr - $16.00/hr

• Provide excellent customer service leadership to all customers.
• Acknowledge and greet all customers that come into the store.
• Ensure that all company policies are being followed.
• Promote and maintain a clean and organized store appearance inside and out.
• Efficiently process both cash and card transactions with integrity.
• Ensure that merchandising and marketing programs are implemented properly, including maintaining planogram integrity and appropriate sign placement.
• Ensure food service products are fresh and appealing by rotating products appropriately and removing out‑of‑date products.
• Monitor store activities to ensure transactions are processed in the proper manner.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees and notify the appropriate individuals.

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• Able to stand for an entire shift.
• Ability to periodically handle routine physical tasks such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures for short periods of time (e.g., inside the store, outside, and in the cooler).
• Available to work a variety of shifts and days of the week as required by the retail environment, including weekends, evenings, and busy periods/holidays.
