• Minimum educational requirement is a high school education with a college background helpful, but not required
• Able to speak, hear, read and write using the English language.
• Must be proficient in all mathematical requirements necessary to operate a successful grocery retail operation.
• Must be able to work required hours.
• Occasionally exert or lift up to 70 pounds.
• Frequently lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Willing to accept rotation assignments to other locations as determined by the needs of the Company.

• Observe and support all store rules and Company policies.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe Company dress regulations.
• Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous, exceptional service.
• Work all hours as scheduled/required by management.
• Actively support the Store Manager in the fulfillment of his/her responsibilities in planning, organizing, directing and controlling store activities and procedures.
• Familiarity with and the ability to perform all functions of the Store Manager's position.
• Assist in employee scheduling and controlling labor costs to ensure that they are within budget relative to projected sales and operating results.
• Assist in maintaining a fire and safety program within the store in accordance with Company policies.
• Assist in employee training programs as needed.
• Assist in controlling inventory levels to minimize over-stocks and under-stocks, to maximize sales, inventory turns and a return‑on‑investment within the established Company guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining the building and equipment in maximum operational condition.
• Assist in the implementation of a housekeeping program that ensures a clean, safe store by following all Company and legal requirements.
• Maintain effective security standards and procedures for all areas within the store.
• Contribute to the profitable operation of the store.
• Supervise all Perishable departments, and perform work as necessary to maintain proper store conditions, including merchandising, product ordering, receiving, display and sanitation.
• Perform merchandising requirements, especially in grocery, dairy, frozen foods and non-foods.
• Perform all tasks related to stocking, ordering, pricing, signing and sales throughout the store.
• Run register system as needed for customer service.
• Supervise and direct all employees in all areas of the store.
• In charge of total store operations in the absence of Store Manager.
• Complete and pass all aspects and courses designated for Manager‑In‑Training.
• Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Store Manager.
