The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations, manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence, lead the store team members in servicing customers, and manage various operational duties.
Essential Job Functions- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team member execution on customer service programs.
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours.
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring up-to-date training.
- Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management.
- Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process buy online/ship to store orders, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders timely and update customers on shipping.
- Utilize electronic external purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases efficiently.
- Process customer returns and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all merchandise, core charges and warranties are invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages, Image Maker and merchandising tasks, delegating as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including work schedule, clocking in/out, and timekeeping.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, day‑end procedures, securing money/deposits, bank deposits, security alarms, and delivery vehicles.
- Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage, lighting, hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required
:
- Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
Desired
:
- Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
