As a Service Technician, you’ll be at the heart of what we do: diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Caterpillar hydraulic components in the shop. Whether it’s a final drive, transmission, or torque converter, you’ll use your skills and experience to deliver top‑tier service that keeps our customers moving.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics and repair on various heavy equipment components, including Caterpillar drivetrain components and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform routine and complex repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, and rebuild components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain detailed service records, collaborate with fellow technicians on complex repairs, and adhere to all safety protocols within the shop environment.
Competencies
  • Proficient reading and writing skills.
  • Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar component lines listed above.
  • In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar component applications, operations, and functions.
  • Skilled in using Caterpillar diagnostic tools (Electronic Technician, Service Information System).
  • Expertise in diagnostic, testing, adjustment, and troubleshooting procedures.
Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required, along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems, and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on mechanical repair experience with diesel, earthmoving, or industrial equipment and components.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting/Carrying 40 lb.; pulling 50 lb.
  • Standing/Sitting up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines.
  • Dexterity: normal.
  • Repetitive motions: frequent hand, wrist, and finger movements.
  • Noise level in work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
