Assistant Executive Housekeeper - Old Greenwood Resort

Position Overview:The Assistant Executive Housekeeper (AEH) is a second‑level manager responsible for overseeing the site housekeeping operations, meeting quality and timeliness standards, and acting on behalf of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
Essential Functions:- Create and post schedules by 5:00 PM every Thursday; assign daily tasks to housekeepers, house persons, and supervisors.
- Adjust work of employees based on needs, callouts, etc.
- Monitor daily work hours to ensure compliance with budgeted hours.
- Follow directives of site leader in his/her absence.
- Ensure all units are turned on time by fostering a sense of urgency.
- Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness standards.
- Retrieve housekeepers for re‑clean request as needed.
- Conduct weekly report cards for housekeeping staff and MSI reports of supervisors.
- Contribute to a welcoming culture of engagement and inclusion.
- Provide timely response to associate concerns.
- Offer ongoing performance feedback to housekeepers, housemen, and supervisors.
- Consistently enforce established policies and procedures.
- Coach housekeepers to reach productivity standards.
- Assist in performance management, including coaching and counseling.
- Recommend discipline and termination when necessary.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Schedule Master Talk and STS sessions, facilitating staff engagement.
- Lead weekly training meetings with supervisors and monthly meetings with all staff.
- Finalize daily duties in the Mastermind system.
- Interview, select, and onboard new team members.
- Deliver new‑hire orientations, including 7‑Steps to Clean training.
- Build rapport with resort management and attend resort meetings.
- Manage inventory: weekly counts and order replenishments.
- Report unit maintenance issues.
- Maintain vehicle maintenance logs.
- Resolve guest complaints promptly.
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure staff follows safety rules.
- Handle workers’ compensation issues and reporting.
- Work irregular hours.
- Comply with Resort Operations 15 Non‑negotiables.
- Use Master Mind Mobile to update room status for all staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Two years of experience directly related to the job, with progressive responsibility.
- A proven track record of driving strong performance and key field operations metrics.
- Effective written and verbal English communication; bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Travel:
Rarely – approximately 5% quarterly. - A valid driver’s license required for certain locations.
Salary range: $45,000.00 – $56,250.00, based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
