Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (no nights or weekends)

Job DescriptionProvides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education. The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the role.
- Provides direct patient care under provider direction, including vitals, allergy/medical reconciliation, screenings, placing event monitors, patient history, health maintenance, advance directives and virtual health.
- Provides indirect patient care related to the Medical Assistant scope, including scheduling, check‑in/out, referrals, chart prep, prior authorizations; conducts point‑of‑care testing with quality control and documentation.
- Performs administrative duties and covers front desk as business needs dictate.
- Floats to other offices as business needs arise.
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic certificate, or relative experience as outlined below.
- Certified BLS provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer date.
- All required credentials maintained throughout employment.
- At least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory) if education requirement not met.
- Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
- EPIC EMR experience preferred.
