Onsite Women's Health invites you to apply for the Mammography Technologist Per Diem (7724) role. This is a flexible, pay‑per‑visit opportunity to use state‑of‑the‑art 3D tomosynthesis mammography equipment in a primary care OB/GYN office environment. The position is scheduled for weekdays only; no weekend or after‑hours work is required.
About the roleAs a Per Diem Mammography Technologist you will specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms, assisting the practice in ensuring all age‑appropriate patients receive annual screening. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, implement radiation protection, and perform QA tasks to meet MQSA, ACR, and state regulations. You will be an independent, patient‑centric professional who can cover on short notice and adapt to various office settings.
Keyresponsibilities
- Specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
- Assist the practice to ensure all eligible age‑appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms.
- Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure and explain the process to minimize anxiety.
- Move mammographic equipment, adjust exposure factors, and follow prescribed safety standards.
- Practice radiation protection techniques using beam‑restrictive devices and patient shielding.
- Examine digital images for image quality and maintain equipment in proper working order.
- Perform required QA testing to comply with MQSA, ACR, and state regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and process routine paperwork and data entry.
- Participate in professional development and maintain professional affiliations.
- Prepare all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and state requirements.
- Assist the radiologist with QA/QC reporting and perform mammography tracking per MQSA guidelines.
- Maintain QA documents to exceed Annual FDA Inspection requirements and ensure ACR accreditation.
- Must be up to date on all CME credits.
- Must be patient‑centric, compassionate, and computer‑savvy.
- Able to perform technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
- Flexible with the ability to multi‑task.
- Willing to cover on a moment's notice.
- Mammography: 2 years (required).
- ARRT certification (required).
