Our Outpatient Mental Health location in Trumbull, Connecticut, is hiring for full-time or part-time 1099 Fee-For-Service contract positions (with a potential for full-time salary position after 6 months of hire) who are: LPCs, LMFTs, LCSWs, to perform individual, couples, and family therapy for preferably 35 hours or more weekdays. Saturdays are optional. We want you to truly feel comfortable. Our practice believes strongly in the transformative energy of the human spirit.

The ideal team member is driven, clinically astute, and able to work with reasonably limited supervision after his/her training period. We are an expanding Outpatient Mental Health practice with vast and diverse ideas in effectively reaching our community members, and we are looking for candidates who will embody and continue our mission and purpose, and will move in full integrity and enthusiasm behind our mission!

Qualifications

Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy Degree from an accredited University/College. Licensed in the State of Connecticut. At least one to two years of experience doing clinical therapy/counseling with families, individuals, couples, and groups. Free from any criminal or child abuse allegations or convictions.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge of clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment; risk assessment, crisis management, and individual/parent guidance.
  • Ability to provide case formulation and develop focused, goal-oriented treatment plans related to the client’s treatment readiness or developmental level and problem identification.
  • Familiarity with psychotropic medications.
  • Ability to collaborate, make appropriate referrals, and interface with numerous other professions, maintaining professional boundaries and advocating for the client.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Desire to grow/develop professionally.
  • Must be willing to treat children and adolescents
Required education

Master's Degree

Required experience
  • Psychology: 1 Year
  • Counseling: 1 Year
  • Marriage and Family Counseling: 1 Year
  • Social Work: 1 Year

EMDR a plus but not required

Child therapy a plus but not required

Required licenses or certifications

DPH Issued License
