This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager or Assistant Manager to manage a varied portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses , providing accounts, tax and business advisory services while developing strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients Prepare and review statutory and management accounts Review corporation tax computations and returns Review VAT returns and other compliance work Provide accounting, tax and commercial advice Act as a trusted advisor and key client contact Manage budgets, WIP, billing and assignment profitability Identify opportunities for additional services Support Partners and Directors with client meetings and business development Supervise, coach and develop junior team members Resolve technical accounting and tax issues Ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently and on time About You ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent Strong accountancy practice experience Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax Experience reviewing work and managing junior staff Excellent client relationship and communication skills Commercially aware with a strong business focus Highly organised with excellent time management Confident leading client meetings Proactive, professional and keen to progress What's on Offer Hybrid and flexible working Varied SME and owner-managed business portfolio Accounts, tax and business advisory exposure Leadership and team management responsibility Professional development and training Clear career progression Supportive and collaborative culture Competitive salary and benefits Location Truro, Cornwall , commutable from Falmouth, Penryn, Redruth, Camborne, St Agnes, Penzance and surrounding areas .
