Role Overview

The successful applicant will be expected to engage with monthly speciality level meetings and be actively involved with clinical audit, service development, the teaching programme and teaching of juniors and medical students. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to undertake research and use the facilities of the Peninsula Medical School.

Sub‑specialty Interests

Existing consultants provide sub‑speciality interests in cornea, glaucoma, vitreo‑retinal surgery, oculoplastics and orbital surgery, paediatric/strabismus and neuro‑ophthalmology, uveitis, and medical retina.

Staff Structure

The medical staff, in the department, includes nine consultants, five associate specialists, one specialty grade doctor, a college speciality trainee, one vitreo‑retinal fellow and one vitreoretinal and cornea and cataract speciality doctor.
