Position: Salaried GP – £12,000–£14,500 per session |

Salaried GP – £12,000–£14,500 per session | Dispensing Practice | Partnership Available | Cornwall

A genuinely manageable workload is the clear direction of travel here.

A fantastic opportunity to join a long-established GP Training Practice in mid-Cornwall, easily commutable from the likes of Truro, Newquay and Bodmin, seeking a Salaried GP for ideally 6–8 sessions. This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, high-performing dispensing practice with excellent retention, strong continuity of care and a genuine Partnership route with a low buy-in.

The culture is collaborative, relaxed and centred around traditional relationship-based general practice rather than total triage.

Salary & Benefits
  • £12,000–£14,500 per session depending on experience and responsibilities
  • Partnership available if desired
  • Low Partnership buy-in for a high dispensing practice
  • NHS Pension
  • BMA equivalent contract
  • 6 weeks annual leave + bank holidays
  • 1 week study leave
Workload & Structure
  • Ideally 6–8 sessions (5 considered)
  • Session templates aligning with BMA guidelines once recruited
  • 15-minute routine appointments
  • Light home visiting workload — often one visit a day across the whole practice
  • Strong admin filtering and coding team
  • Pharmacist and pharmacy technician support reducing GP medication workload
  • Systm One with automatic filing of normal results
  • Genuine continuity of care and personal lists
The Practice
  • Medium-sized practice
  • Dispensing GMS practice
  • Near 100% QOF achievement for the last two years
  • Consistently strong patient feedback and retention
  • Stable, long-serving GP team with no GP departures to neighbouring practices in last 5 years
  • Supportive MDT including pharmacists, ACP, paramedics, physio and nursing team
  • Modern, purpose-built premises
  • Training environment with current ST3 registrar and ambitions to expand teaching

This role would particularly suit a GP who aspires for continuity, community-based medicine and a supportive clinical team environment that sees a future in traditional GP values.

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
