Assistant Waiting List Coordinator – Endoscopy Administration Team
Fixed Term Contract – 12 months, full‑time, starting immediately. Salary: £24,937 – £26,598 per annum (pro rata).
OverviewAs an Assistant Waiting List Coordinator you will manage several waiting lists within the Endoscopy Administration Team, ensuring appointments meet NHS diagnostic timing targets and the Trust’s access policy. You will support endoscopy nursing staff, senior clinicians, and the Endoscopy Booking Team, using NHS booking and PAS systems.
Key Responsibilities- Use NHS booking systems to deliver appointments within waiting time targets and adjust schedules to meet individual patient needs.
- Maintain administrative workflows for the Endoscopy Booking Team and provide support for staff.
- Make timely decisions on cancellations or rearrangements, applying judgement to balance Trust priorities and patient needs.
- Direct book appointments via the PAS system, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date patient contact details.
- Organise and manage the team’s workload on own initiative, adapting to changing priorities.
Essential
- GCSE in English and Maths (grade 4 or higher) or equivalent.
- Experience with Excel, Windows, and database use.
- Ability to manage own workload independently.
- Proficiency with electronic patient record systems (PAS, Maxims). Knowledge of MAXIMS, ERS, and Scorpio preferred.
- Proven computer skills (Word, Excel, Email, Internet, PowerPoint).
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in administration.
- ECDL or equivalent.
- Previous NHS or similar healthcare background.
- Previous waiting list management experience.
- Customer care skills.
