We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work as part of the clinical team, alongside in‑house services which include outreach, hospital and adult community and criminal justice.

With You is all about working with our clients to find the right path for them to get back to where they want to be, and you will be joining an amazing team of people who go the extra mile to make that happen.

Working within one of our services is always busy, sometimes challenging but always rewarding. We work collaboratively to provide the best support and treatment to anyone who needs it, so why don't you apply to be part of something great!

If you are a first level Registered Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist who thrives working in a community setting, assessing and supporting people with their healthcare issues, this might be just the role for you.

This is a part‑time position (30 hours per week) based in the Truro Service. We will also explore full‑time hours.

You will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are prescribing and help With You to develop, implement and evaluate the interventions we use with our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide harm‑reduction interventions for clients with substance misuse issues.
  • Provide support and advice in relation to substance misuse clinics; assess and review prescribed treatment plans.
  • Lead vaccination and blood‑testing programmes.
  • Reach out to community members to offer proactive support and education.
  • Participate in an induction period, meaningful supervision and CPD programme.
Requirements
  • Be a Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Health Nurse, or a Registered Pharmacist (GPhC).
  • Have successfully completed the supplementary/independent prescriber course and hold an appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register.
  • Have proven prescribing experience.
  • Have evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Have a successful track record of delivering nursing interventions in a community setting.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of healthcare assessments, care planning and key working.
  • Be able to collaborate with external agencies as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Have knowledge of substance misuse and its health impact on our clients.

We welcome applications from prescribers with a passion for working with our client group, including those with backgrounds in other specialities, as full training and induction would be provided. Most of our work is face‑to‑face with our clients and therefore we require the successful candidate to be on‑site.
