Job SummaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the Research and Development Team as a Research Healthcare Assistant. This is an essential role within the Rapid Response Research Team, supporting research patients through their health journey at RCHT in various specialities. You will be supporting our research teams and nurses with patient observations, so clinical skills are essential. We are looking for a caring and supportive person who loves helping others and can come to work with a positive attitude and a friendly smile.

Job Responsibilities- Support research patients through their health journey at RCHT in various specialities.
- Assist research teams and nurses with patient observations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
- Contribute ideas to improve service delivery while maintaining quality and dignity.
- Identity checks
- Professional registration and qualification checks
- Employment history and reference checks
- Occupational health clearance
- Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check
- Right to work in the UK
- GCSE Maths & English, or Equivalent
- NVQ 2 in Health Care, or Equivalent
- Clinical skills e.g. venepuncture, blood transfusion, aseptic non-touch technique
- Previous experience in the NHS
- Understanding of research
- Data entry experience
- Competent in English language – written and verbal
- Able to work in a team environment
- Adaptable to work across specialties
- Excellent communication skills with patients
- GCP training or willingness to undertake
- NVQ 3 in Direct Care
