Our Women’s service in Cornwall is recruiting for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high‑quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Your office base will be in central Truro. Mainduties of the job
This role has been designed to work specifically with women living across the county, with diverse and complex needs, to engage in treatment around their substance use, healthy relationships, and mental and emotional health. It will be a trauma‑informed service using an outreach model to ensure the flexibility needed to keep women engaged in treatment. There will be an emphasis on multi‑agency working and networking to develop and provide sustainable pathways, supporting women to meet their goals.
Jobresponsibilities
- Provide high‑quality recovery care to a diverse client group.
- Engage women in treatment around substance use, healthy relationships, and mental and emotional health.
- Deliver a trauma‑informed, outreach model of care to keep women engaged.
- Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to develop and provide sustainable pathways.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case notes and documentation.
- Attend team meetings, training and professional development sessions.
- Support colleagues across With You locations when required.
As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £25,000 per annum, which will rise each year in line with our pay progression salary bands to a maximum of £30,000 per annum. - Have attained ONC/NVQ level 3, or be willing to achieve this within 12 months.
- Have demonstrable experience of working or volunteering in health, social care, criminal justice, or another specialist setting.
- Successful track record of working or volunteering with people who have experienced substance misuse issues.
- Have a driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- Have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
- Be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed.
- Be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise your work.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
- Be IT competent.
- Able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion.
- Be happy to support other With You locations when needed.
- Occasional Saturday work may be required.
