We are looking for a highly specialised clinical psychologist to join our Adult Eating Disorders Team. The post requires you to already be an accredited therapist and supervisor.
As a senior member of the team, you will work with us to improve the experience, opportunities and clinical outcomes for people receiving treatment through this service. Our work supports individuals struggling with longstanding and multi‑faceted difficulties around their relationships with food and eating, along with comorbidities.
This job is currently only open to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. We are committed to supporting our dedicated staff, so only current employees of the following organisations can apply:

Main duties of the jobBuilding integrative formulations
Delivering evidenced‑based therapies (individual, group, contextual).
You will be able to draw on several models of psychological therapy, which you will integrate when appropriate.
A central aspect of this role is to deliver formal and informal supervision and consultation for staff within the team and across the Trust, representing all professional groups. This may include supervising trainees, students and assistants.
You will:
- Take a lead clinical role in our weekly consultation sessions
- Oversee the delivery and supervision of our assessments
- Actively contribute to the development of community clinical pathways
- Contribute to the development of psychological services for our client group
- Deputise for the clinical lead/team manager

This is a community‑based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.
Person Specification Education / Qualifications- Post‑graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical, counselling or forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- ACAT accredited CAT/CBT therapist / supervisor
- Training, qualification and experience in relevant psychometrics (e.g. WAIS, ADOS, PDS, PAI)
- Substantial relevant clinical experience post qualification, working with a variety of client groups including trauma and personality, and experience of delivering supervision to a range of staff
- Experience in carrying out complex assessment and integrative formulation, and presenting this appropriately
- Experience of application of research design and methodology in mental health care settings.
- Experience of service development, clinical pathway design, and clinical leadership.
- Experienced applying the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies with eating disorders and trauma, ideally including Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and/or Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).

Salary£55,690 to £62,682 a year Per Annum/Pro Rata
