Job Description & How to Apply Below

We have an exciting opportunity on Trauma 2 for a Health Care Assistant, who will work alongside dedicated staff to deliver the best care to our Trauma patients within RCHT.

A Healthcare Assistant is no ordinary job and it is not for an ordinary person. We need caring, supportive people who love helping others and can come to work with a positive attitude and a friendly smile. If that sounds like you, then we guarantee you will leave at the end of each shift feeling proud of the work you have done to support patients to feel and be at their best.

Working in the NHS is about real work with real people. It takes flexibility, commitment and compassion, but in return we can offer you a rewarding career where you can really make a difference.

With strong team working skills, you will be able to demonstrate the values that are important to us, communicating well with both colleagues and patients. We are open to your ideas for how to improve the services we offer; without compromising on quality and always treating patients and team‑mates with respect and dignity.

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is the main provider of acute and specialist care services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We are a teaching hospital in partnership with the University of Exeter Medical School, University of Plymouth School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Peninsula Dental School.

The Knowledge Spa on the Royal Cornwall Hospital site is the base for medical and nursing as well as ongoing education for health professions in clinical and non‑clinical roles.

Keeping at the forefront of medical advances, we are continually developing our clinical services as well as our facilities and are committed to maximising the range of specialist care that can be offered locally. Allied to this is a growing reputation for research and innovation.
