This is a newly created post within the Children’s Division's Operational Management Structure, with a specific focus on Eating Disorders and has been created to enhance and strengthen the managerial team and add management capacity into the service.

The post holder will have a primarily focus on the operational leadership of the Eating Disorders team which also includes ARFID and COAST teams.

You will be joining a dynamic and supportive senior leadership team to help meet the challenges across the division we're experiencing now and proactively plan for the future. We are looking for an energetic and passionate Manager to encourage and contribute to continuing the development of this service, informed by a cutting‑edge evidence base. There will be a key focus on quality improvement to enhance and develop the service in line with key national drivers for Eating Disorders.

duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing high quality operational leadership to a defined group of services within the division and will work alongside the other Operational Managers and the Associate Director of Children’s Services. They will make strong links with the wider directorate and multi‑agency provision and foster seamless care pathways to ensure an informed approach across organisation.

This is a key role within the directorate and the post‑holder will be expected to deliver innovative services that are responsive and provide the best value for the population of Cornwall, their family, and their carers. Therefore, the post‑holder must be able to demonstrate a commitment and passion for achieving the best health care and support the people of Cornwall.

Person Specification Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience
  • Qualification in nursing (e.g. RMN, RSCN) and registered with the NMC or an Allied Health Professional registered with their specific governing body
  • Significant experience in a managerial role or senior clinical role
  • Graduate and post graduate qualification at masters level or relevant equivalent experience
Skills and Aptitude
  • Excellent skills in engaging, bringing together and supporting the multi‑disciplinary team, both in routine times and times of crisis
