Complex Care Support Worker
Location: Tresillian, TR2
28-30 hour contract | Term time and school holidays | Expert training | 2:1 support
We’re looking for an experienced, compassionate and reliable Female Complex Care Support Worker to join our Care Expert Team in the Tresillian, TR2 area.
You’ll be part of a dedicated 2:1 care team, supporting a young person with complex care needs at home and out in the community.
This is a meaningful role for someone who is calm, patient and confident in care. You’ll need to be attentive to body language and alternative communication, while helping the customer feel safe, supported and understood.
Due to the personal care requirements of this role, this vacancy is open to female applicants only. This is considered to be an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.

As a Female Complex Care Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting a young person with complex health and communication needs
- Providing personal, practical and emotional support
- Supporting at home and out in the community
- Promoting safety, wellbeing and independence
- Responding to body language and alternative communication
- Supporting with PEG feeding and suctioning, where required
- Following care plans and keeping clear records
- Being a calm, dependable and reassuring presence
Full specialist training will be provided.
HoursTerm time:
- 3.00pm – 8.00pm, four weekdays
- 10.00am – 6.00pm, Saturday or Sunday
School holidays:
- 10.00am – 6.00pm, four weekdays
- 10.00am – 6.00pm, Saturday or Sunday

For this role, you’ll need:
- A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable car

You’ll be a good fit if you’re calm, patient and dependable, with the confidence to support someone with complex needs. You’ll be willing to learn specialist care skills, including PEG feeding and suctioning, and able to follow detailed care plans.
Complex care experience is helpful, but full specialist training will be provided.
