Office Administrator - Neurophysiology
Overview
The Office Administrator plays a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of hospital services by providing administrative and clerical support to clinical and operational teams. The post holder will manage correspondence, maintain accurate records, handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries, and support appointment and data systems. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients and visitors to deliver a professional and compassionate service.
Mainduties
- Provide a consistent and high standard of patient care whilst working under pressure
- Work flexibly to meet the demands of the service
- Maintain high standards amid frequent interruptions and communicate important information efficiently to a wide range of staff
- Transcription of directly dictated or recorded medical reports, with high levels of confidentiality and accuracy
- Maintain extensive knowledge of medical terminology to support accurate transcription for medical diagnosis

Person Specification- 2 GCSEs or equivalent
- NHS experience and/or radiology department experience
- Typing or Word Processing qualification
- Good communication skills and ability to prioritise
