Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and reliable Laboratory Technician (Fixed Term Contract) to join our Mineral Processing Laboratory team in Truro, supporting laboratory‑based mineral processing test work and sample preparation.

Role
  • Support the delivery of metallurgical testing programmes, working closely with laboratory and metallurgical teams.
  • Sample preparation in line with laboratory standards and testing requirements.
  • Follow written procedures and standard operating instructions.
  • Conduct basic standardised laboratory tests independently.
  • Support metallurgists and wider technical teams with ongoing work.
  • Carry out general laboratory duties, including cleaning, maintenance and calibration of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, including SSOW and COSHH.

  • An understanding of the importance of quality and productivity in a commercial setting.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Previous laboratory or similar experience (desirable but not essential; full training will be provided).
