Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you passionate about mission, community and discipleship?

We are a vibrant, welcoming evangelical single parish benefice with a distinctive ecumenical outlook, serving a growing community in Bury St Edmunds. We are seeking a Vicar to lead us into the next chapter of our life and mission.

We are looking for someone who is an engaging communicator and leader, rooted in Bible-based faith, comfortable with varied worship styles, and passionate about reaching children, young people, families and the wider community.

In return, we offer a committed team of lay leaders and volunteers, a spacious well-located vicarage, a committed congregation, established community links, a modern church building and excellent opportunities for mission.

Come and help us grow in faith, numbers and impact within the community.

The DBF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All postholders and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to acceptable pre-appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

The care and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults involved in church activities is the responsibility of the whole church. Everyone who participates in the life of the church has a role to play in promoting a Safer Church for all.

Safeguarding is an integral part of the mission and ministry of the church in this diocese and is in line with our Growing in God strategy. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
