An established and growing independent property consultancy in Cornwall is seeking a qualified Residential/Property Surveyor to join its team.
The successful candidate will carry out a range of professional property surveys and valuations across the county. You will provide clear, expert advice to clients and produce high-quality reports to support informed property decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct a range of residential surveys and valuation work, including:
* Level 2 Home Surveys
* Building Surveys
* Residential Valuations (including occasional Mortgage Valuation work)
* Prepare comprehensive, well-structured reports outlining findings and recommendations
* Provide professional advice to clients before, during, and following inspections
* Inspect properties across Cornwall, including urban, rural, town, countryside, and coastal locations
* Maintain accurate records and manage workload to meet agreed deadlines
* Attend client meetings and site visits as required
Qualifications & Experience
* RICS qualified (FRICS, MRICS or Assoc
RICS) – essential
* Ideally 2+ years' post-qualification experience in residential or building surveying
* Strong knowledge of residential surveying and valuation practices
* Good understanding of UK property construction types and common defects
Skills & Attributes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
* Professional, client-focused approach
* Competent with IT systems and report-writing software
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Cornwall
