Main duties of the job
As an NHS security officer, you will provide a wide range of duties which will require a customer focused approach. You will provide a timely response to support patients, visitors, members of the public, and hospital staff across a broad range of issues.

Ideally you will hold a current SIA licence and/or be willing to work towards achieving a Healthcare Security Officer's qualification.
This post will also require a DBS check to an enhanced level, and you will receive a full range of induction and training into the Trust and your work. You will work a rotational shift pattern, which will attract unsocial hours and weekend working enhancements. Your duties will require you to hold a current, clean full UK driving licence.
To be an employee of the NHS you need to successfully complete the following:
- Identity Checks
- Professional registration and qualification checks
- Employment history and reference checks
- Occupational Health clearance
- Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check
