Multi-Trade Carpenter (Responsive Repairs)

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Carpenter to join a well-established maintenance contractor's Responsive Repairs team in central Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled carpenter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a varied, hands‑on role carrying out day-to-day repairs in people's homes.

In this role, you will be responsible for completing a variety of responsive repairs in domestic properties. Your work will cover a range of carpentry and general maintenance tasks, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

• Carry out a variety of carpentry-based repairs including door hanging, skirting boards, windows, architraves, and general maintenance
• Undertake other multi-trade duties (plumbing, basic tiling, plastering, etc.) where required
• Respond to repair requests from tenants and homeowners in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard of quality and in compliance with health and safety guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with residents
• Complete all paperwork and reports as required by the company

• Proven carpentry experience, including door and window repairs, framing, joinery, basic plumbing repairs, patch repairs, basic tiling repairs
• Experience in responsive repairs within occupied properties
• General multi-trade skills (basic plumbing, tiling, and plastering are a plus)
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (preferred for the initial 12 weeks, not essential)
