We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker specialising in the Adults Safeguarding Team within Adults Social Care in Truro, UK. What you will do:
  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries in accordance with Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, ensuring timely and proportionate responses to risk.
  • Complete strength-based assessments, care planning, and reviews for adults with care and support needs.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners including NHS services, police, and care providers to coordinate safeguarding interventions.
  • Apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005, including Best Interest decisions and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards where appropriate.
Person Specification:
  • Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
  • Relevant post-qualifying training in Adult Social Care or Safeguarding is desirable
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Equality Act 2010
  • Understanding of local safeguarding adults procedures and multi-agency frameworks
