The Medical Laboratory Technologist operates in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, performing tests using established protocols. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical skills and the ability to work both manually and automatically under pressure. Additionally, this role involves independent judgment for test reportability and effective communication with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform analytical tests and procedures with precision
• Utilize computerized information systems for result management
• Compare test results with reference criteria
• Maintain patient confidentiality per professional standards
• Work during weekends and holidays as required
Requirements:
• Graduate from a recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist program
• Active licensure with NSRMLS
• Completion of the Medical Laboratory Technologist Examination
• Proof of Professional Liability Insurance
• Competencies in French preferred
