Position: APSEA Deaf Education Support Teacher Role
Become a pivotal force in the education of Deaf and hard of hearing students at APSEA in Annapolis Valley. This full-time role focuses on program development, support, and individualized instruction for diverse learners.

As a full-time Education Support Teacher at APSEA, you will help create inclusive educational experiences for children who are DHH. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you'll be integral to developing and implementing programs that empower students. Your qualifications and experience in Deaf education will be essential in fostering positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement educational programs for learners who are DHH

• Collaborate effectively with educational teams and families

• Guide family involvement in student development

• Stay updated on assessment tools and their applications

• Support technology use to enhance learning access

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Deaf education or related field

• Current Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate

• Proven expertise in teaching DHH children

• Competency in assessment and program delivery

• Communication skills in American Sign Language
