We are actively seeking a Mine Technologist to join the Côté Gold team reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer. The Mine Technologist measures, contributes, collects and compiles operational data as part of the Technical Services team. This opportunity emphasizes coordination and the application of technical skills to support the Mine Technical Services team in implementing innovative practices to define a better tomorrow.

This role will be based on our Cote Gold Mine Site (Gogama, ON), on a 7 on 7 off or a 14/14 schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Support Technical Services in the execution of QA/QC protocols for drilling, blasting, geotechnical, and geological operations.
  • Execute field surveys using high-precision GPS and 3D scanning technology to capture accurate mine site data.
  • Compile and analyze operational data to identify trends and support initiatives for improving mine performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage equipment integrity by performing regular maintenance and calibration of all specialized testing and surveying tools.
  • Monitor compliance by documenting and reporting any deviations from established mine quality standards.
  • Facilitate staff development by assisting in the training of personnel on standardized QA/QC procedures and safety protocols.
Key Skills & Knowledge
  • Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
  • Experience using Trimble, Drones, Mineplan 3D is a plus.
  • Technical proficiency with testing equipment and software.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years supervised field experience.
  • Preferred:
    Drone Pilot Certificate – Basic or Advanced Operations from Transport Canada.

Salary Range: $70,800- $97,400. The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
