Position: Full-Time Employment Specialist
Become an Employment Specialist in Truro, Nova Scotia, focused on supporting individuals with disabilities. Utilize your skills to enhance employability and provide job coaching.

In this full-time role at NSCC, you will facilitate skill development for participants in the Achieve Program. Your expertise will include coaching, collaboration with employers, and supporting diversity in employment. You will also coordinate work experiences that maximize the potential of individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate employability skill development for participants with disabilities

• Collaborate with the business community and service providers

• Provide job coaching and coordinate work experiences

• Support leadership and guidance for long-term employment

• Enable participants to gain essential workplace skills

Requirements:

• Diploma in human services or related field

• Minimum three years’ experience supporting individuals with disabilities

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems

• Reliable transportation for site visits

• Knowledge of job searching techniques and workplace accommodations
