POSITION SUMMARY
Sales & Logistics Support (SaLS) Assistant coordinates with Sales, Logistics, Quality, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of requested materials. The role manages purchase orders, shipping schedules, inventory audits, and customer communications, supporting sales and administration in new customer onboarding and operational efficiency initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Use internal systems to record and modify purchase orders and receipts of overseas products.
- Ensure all customer system applications are updated for order processing, material handling, and inventory control.
- Coordinate overseas outbound shipments with freight forwarders and manage inbound containers with freight forwarder and customs broker.
- Maintain accurate inventory controls in internal systems, recording shipments, transfers, and daily production.
- Attend production-planning meetings to manage inventory and shipment of full orders.
- Generate invoices and schedule shipments according to sales and production schedules.
- Update and maintain shipping schedules and notify customers of updates.
- Obtain and email inspection reports for shipped product to distributors/customers.
- Produce and distribute open‑order and shipped‑status reports.
- Create and place orders for finished goods with global trading partners.
- Conduct timely and professional email correspondence with distributors and customers.
- Generate month‑end reports, inventory reports, and support budget/forecasting activities.
- Support new customer onboarding, screening, requirement gathering, and procedure development.
- Complete any other duties as assigned.

- Education – Associate’s Degree preferred (Business or closely related field). Relevant experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
- Experience – 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Computer Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Comfortable learning ERP or inventory software.
- Certifications & Licenses – None required.
- Other Requirements – Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
English proficiency; organizational and planning skills; ability to handle interruptions and conflicting deadlines; mental capability to perform complex math; completion of 49 CFR / IMDG / IATA Dangerous Goods Training within 90 days of hire.
Frequently: Stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward, bend and speak. Frequently lift/carry up to 20 pounds and push/pull up to 12 pounds.
Occasionally: Reach above shoulders, climb, squat, kneel, grasp. Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 40 pounds.
Not Applicable: This position does not lift or carry, push or pull more than 50 pounds.
