Opportunity

Lead‑level position within Planning, Cost Management, Project Controls Management or Project Controls (PJC) Execution Leadership. Requires independent application of advanced project controls techniques, handling commercial issues, and providing leadership and guidance to less experienced project control personnel.

The Team

Part of BV Operations, supporting projects across three market sectors:
Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. Engaged with projects ranging from community improvements to mega‑scale infrastructure worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Project Controls (PJC) function or a team of PJC professionals, positively influencing internal and external clients.
  • Achieve high forecasting accuracy and proactively address and escalated issues.
  • Lead proposal efforts.
Cost Control
  • Lead cost control team on complex projects, including cost reporting, forecasting, quantity tracking, change management, and risk analysis.
  • Address contractual requirements related to cost control, reviewing contract language and providing feedback.
Planning & Scheduling
  • Lead project controls schedule team in planning and scheduling, including float analysis, earned value, startup planning and constructability.
  • Expert in scheduling forensics as required by the business unit.
  • Address contractual requirements related to schedule, reviewing contract language and providing feedback.
PJC Management
  • Lead and develop a team of project controls professionals.
  • Lead planning and cost control functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure tools, processes and operating rhythm identify and escalated issues.
  • Collaborate with management to identify issues and trends, securing project management support.
  • Facilitate risk and change management discussions.
  • Support department initiatives.
Execution Leadership
  • Lead implementation of PJC procedures and tools.
  • Provide transparent project health visibility to the business.
  • Escalate project issues to PJC Leadership.
  • Support administration of project reviews and resolution of actions.
  • Identify and confirm successful staffing of projects and proposals.
  • Ensure staff meet expectations and provide timely feedback.
  • Provide staff with learning and development opportunities.
Management Responsibilities

Acts as a “lead person.” Does not have formal management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or local equivalent in Engineering or Construction Management.

Minimum Qualifications

Four‑year bachelor’s degree with eight or more years of cost control, planning and scheduling experience OR

ten or more years of relevant experience if no four‑year bachelor’s degree.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Office Environment:
    Sitting, talking, hearing, keyboard input, seeing. Occasional travel up to 25%.
  • Construction Site Environment:
    Standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, moving, walking long distances, operating in confined spaces, heights above 5 feet, working up to a 12‑hour shift. Hazardous conditions may include extreme temperatures, weather, noise, and equipment.
  • Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion.
