The Impact You’ll MakeThe RF Engineer designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic components, parts, or integrated circuits for electronic equipment, hardware systems, or electrical engineering applications. Responsibilities include determining design approaches and parameters, analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests, and evaluating results. The engineer selects components and equipment based on specification analysis and reliability considerations, and may also review vendor capabilities to support product development.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Perform professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation supporting electrical and electro-mechanical systems and subsystems.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering design team—including electrical, mechanical, software, process, technical support, and suppliers—on the design and modification of custom and OEM embedded systems components.
- Prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to meet technical and operational requirements and demonstrate compliance.
- Collect and analyze relevant material and data for presentation at design, project, and program reviews.
- Design, select, test, and document RF delivery systems (100kHz to 100MHz; Watt to Kilo Watt ranges).
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of related work experience; master’s degree with 8 years;
PhD with 5 years; or equivalent experience. - Experience with complex RF measurement equipment (Power Meters, Network-, Impedance-, and Spectrum Analyzers, etc.).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to drive functional requirements and execute effectively in dynamic, cross-functional team environments.
- Familiarity with high-voltage design rules and practices (>1 kV) from DC to 100 MHz.
- Experience with SPICE, LabVIEW, MathCAD, MATLAB, and analysis tools such as HFSS, COMSOL, or Microwave Studio.
- Knowledge of plasma processing, plasma sources, and plasma loads is a plus.
