Mechanical Engineer
Overview
Wet Equipment and Technology Solutions is an exciting, rapidly evolving field as the semiconductor industry’s dependence on wafer‑level packaging solutions continues to grow with consumer needs such as artificial intelligence (AI) and super‑computing. WETS Engineering has newly formed the Plating Process Critical team for Sabre and Sabre 3D electroplating product lines. The team is responsible for some of the most critical hardware with the closest proximity to the wafer and the largest impact on plating performance.
The team’s vision is to partner with the process engineering group more closely than ever to deliver world‑class hardware solutions for our customers.
Responsible for mechanical engineering design and support in the Sabre Electrofill Product Group for projects tied directly to the plating cell. The engineer will have various design, analysis, and support roles including product development, customer‑requested improvements, failure analysis, and quality improvements within the supply chain and Lam manufacturing. This role requires working collaboratively with process engineering, product management, product support, and suppliers.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Exercise good judgment in mechanical design methods and evaluation criteria
- Complete tasks independently and recognize when direction is needed
- Understand and organize highly configurable assemblies with 100s of feature options such as the Sabre cup assembly to efficiently control proliferation, compatibility and future iterations
- Skillful use of 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo and/or NX
- Have 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; or 3 years with a PhD
