ImpactThe successful candidate will be part of the Global Operations Finance team, providing strategic and analytical financial guidance to the Global Supply Chain Management team within Lam's Global Operations. The role plays a key part in preparing and managing operating expenses, headcount, capital expenditures, supplier risk assessments and overall financial control and SOX compliance of the Supply Chain organization.
What You’ll DoThe ideal candidate will provide financial support and expertise to the Company’s Global Operation function (Global Supply Chain Management) including financial forecasting, analysis, capital planning, accounting support and high levels of business partnering with key executive decision makers. Support overall capital planning process, reporting, planning cycle support and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
Primary Activities- Interacting with Business Partners supporting the Global Supply Chain Management forecast cycles
- Supporting, analyzing, and assisting in preparation and review of QXR operating expense budgets, forecasts and providing spending analysis
- Developing budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools
- Analyzing actual operating expense results and identifying key financial and operating issues, quantifying actual results versus forecast
- Preparing QXR related presentations summarizing spending and actual vs. forecast analysis and HC summaries
- Business partnering and decision support activities related to Supply Chain Operations and expansion of Supply Chain infrastructure to support Asia‑based factories
- Supporting other key commodity groups for make vs. buy decisions, project analytics and other investment activities
- Key financial contact for all supplier financial risk assessments
- Performing monthly/quarterly close processes and activities
- Performing balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis, fixed asset accounting and audits, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules
- Assisting with requests related to internal/external audits and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance as needed
- Initiating and engaging in continuous process improvement
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance; MBA preferred; 7‑10 years of finance experience supporting a manufacturing environment, business unit or division
- Solid financial and accounting skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and in a matrix environment
- Self‑starter, able to multi‑task and work independently
- Strong technical abilities, including advanced Excel and experience with SAP/Power BI, Workday Adaptive
- Good analytical, organizational, planning and initiation skills
- Team‑player, promotes a collaborative environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business skills and effective understanding of a manufacturing environment and associated financial processes
- Ability to analyze transactional detail in an ERP system, preferably SAP
- Flexibility to reprioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment
