Overview

As an Emergency Room Technician at Legacy, you will play a vital role in easing those fears by delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Working alongside a specialized emergency team, you’ll support both pediatric and adult patients during some of the most critical moments of their lives.

Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center is the South Metro area’s full-service medical center, with the friendly feel of a community hospital and the skill and services of a much larger medical center. Among our specialties: stroke, chest pain, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer care and orthopedic and total joint surgery. Plus, a birth center and breast health center.
Responsibilities- Contributes to a team-based approach to patient care, ensuring efficient and effective patient flow through the Emergency Department.
Provides direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients, visitors, EMS personnel, and hospital staff.
Maintains responsibility and accountability for the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Basic medical terminology.
- Computer familiarity.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
Oregon:
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Provider certification required.
- CNA, MA or EMT preferred.
Washington:
- Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification required.
- Registered or Certified Nursing Assistant (RNA/CNA) required for employees who perform this job in the state of Washington (including those who float into the role).
- Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist required for employees who perform phlebotomy in the State of Washington (including those who float into the role).
USD $21.88 - USD $31.27 /Hr.
