Software Engineer

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably Computer Sc / Electronics / Information Technology
• Years of Experience - 11-14 years

• Experience in testing methods like GUI, Functional, Integration, Regression, and System and Performance Testing
• Proficient in Test Automation and Automated Testing for releases
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Computer Architecture and Operating systems
• Basic programming skills, programming language like Java

• Own & drive automation scripting and framework needs or software test design/test case development/test execution with quality, reliability and OTD goals.
• Requires minimal direction, Identifies, and pursues opportunities for innovation within discipline or business area. Provides informal guidance to less experienced colleagues.
• Makes test design decisions on major software projects and releases and proposes right test execution techniques based on the in-depth product knowledge.
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
• Identifies software testing process flaws and proposes corrective actions to improve process.
• Coordinates software testing work of other individuals and send reports.
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
• Will be working on test-data management, bug reporting, supporting customer, debugging and root causing customer issues, creating test design & test cases, automation script development and automated script execution.
• Technically contributes towards new product development programs without supervision.
• Provides technical support and qualify new software release/patch to Lam Customers.
• Respond to and resolve customer requests through emails, problem reports and discussion forums.
• Troubleshooting involves performing in-depth analysis of software logs, reproducing the issue on a simulator environment, and debugging through code to identify the root cause.

• Knowledge of Unix, Linux
• Knowledge of Automation framework
• Exposure to any scripting language like Python etc.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week.

'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
