Roto-Rooter has an opportunity available for a Commercial Business Manager at our Portland branch located in Tualatin, OR. The primary responsibilities of the Commercial Business Manager are to grow commercial sales in their respective Branch by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing commercial customers. The Commercial Business Manager generates sales by promoting all our lines of business to prospective and existing commercial customers, including through the direct supervision of the commercial jetting and sales team.
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$95,000, depending on experience, with an opportunity for a branch performance-based bonus.
- Develop additional business opportunities by selling Roto-Rooter’s preventative maintenance and priority care programs.
- Spend majority of time in the field visiting existing and prospective commercial customers and establishing relationships.
- Assist National Sales Team with processing work orders and ensuring paperwork is completed in accordance with approved standardized procedures for work performed or quoted by jet technicians and commercial field supervisors.
- Conduct job completion follow‑up with customers, ensuring satisfactory completion of work performed by jet technicians and commercial field supervisors.
- Manage productivity of commercial jet techs and commercial field supervisors to ensure attainment of performance goals.
- Join local trade associations and participate in trade shows and events when applicable.
- Provide coaching and counseling to jet technicians and commercial field supervisors who are not meeting published production goals, establishing performance improvement goals.
- Oversee scheduling of jet techs and commercial field supervisors to ensure adequate manpower coverage to complete all required work.
- Develop relationships with customers to build customer loyalty.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of sales and management experience.
- Commercial sales experience with a proven year‑over‑year record of successful development and growth of a territory.
- Sound problem‑solving skills and good communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record according to company policy.
