The O&M Project Manager oversees a portfolio of Operations and Maintenance services projects in the power generation, storage, transmission and distribution space, ensuring all contractual services are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and with strong customer service. They manage client relationships, support proposals, pursue new business, and lead a diverse team to achieve project and client goals.

Black & Veatch’s Infrastructure Advisory Business provides a portfolio of solutions focused on the asset lifecycle, including Asset Management & Operations & Maintenance, Infrastructure Technology, Cybersecurity Solutions, Planning and Transactions. In this role you will be part of the Delivery Team supporting Solutions.

You will be working with Infrastructure Advisory’s Strategic Asset Management Solution to deliver a wide range of projects and solutions, including asset management plans, gap assessments, asset management strategies, investment plans, risk and resilience assessments, and maintenance strategies.

• Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver O&M projects in compliance with contractual requirements and company policies.
• Ensure safety, cost efficiency, and adherence to project schedules.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client relationships and client experience, fostering strong relationships and ensuring high satisfaction.
• Coordinate project portfolios, which may include multiple projects for one or more clients, to maintain a consistent approach and customer experience across all projects.

• Support proposal development and actively pursue new business opportunities.

Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.

• 15+ years O&M experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems, Solar, T&D systems/substations, or gas, coal, or nuclear‑powered generation
• 5+ years leading project management or service delivery
• Transmission experience (electrical systems, substations, energy storage, or power generation)
• Strong leadership and team management
• Skilled in problem‑solving and troubleshooting
• Able to coach and mentor others
• Efficient time management
• Results‑driven with patience
• Clear communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to self‑development and industry updates

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.

Position location is flexible but requires a hybrid schedule out of an existing Black & Veatch Office.

Frequent travel with ability to perform execution field/site‑based oversight on an emergency basis.

Travel to Black & Veatch HQ for team meetings and training as scheduled.
