PPI Quality & Engineering is seeking a seasoned Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for an assignment in Tualatin, Oregon. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who brings deep technical knowledge, strong field presence, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
Verify weld quality, procedures, and documentation
Identify non-conformances and work with project teams to support resolution
Ensure compliance with the PPI Quality Management System and client requirements
Provide accurate, timely inspection reports
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) — active certification required
10+ years of welding inspection experience
Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME, API, as applicable)
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
3 months (Jan‑March)
