Position: Quality Control Technician 2
Description

At Ascentec, quality is essential to delivering components that meet demanding customer requirements. As a Quality Control Technician 2, you will play a direct role in maintaining product quality, supporting manufacturing performance, and strengthening customer confidence.

This position offers the opportunity to expand your technical expertise, work closely with skilled manufacturing professionals, and follow a structured career path within Quality. If you take pride in precision, value teamwork, and are motivated to develop your technical capabilities, we encourage you to apply.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Quality Control Technician 2 to support product quality throughout the manufacturing process. In this intermediate-level role, you will independently inspect CNC-machined components to ensure they meet engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, customer specifications, and established quality standards. Using precision measuring instruments, gages, granite inspection surfaces, and dedicated metrology equipment, you will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections, document results, and prepare Dimensional Inspection Reports (DIRs) for customer review.

You will also conduct visual inspections of assembled and chemically treated components and perform in-process inspections within a cleanroom environment. Beyond inspection, you will work directly with CNC Machine Operators and Machinists to identify production issues, communicate quality concerns, and help improve component quality. Success in this role requires strong engineering print-reading skills, basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accurate documentation.
