Job Purpose and Summary
The Maintenance Tech provides maintenance to heavy equipment which can include fuel, lubricate, and perform light maintenance services to ensure risk of breakdowns are minimized and equipment runs efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance
- Fuel equipment
- Inspect, repair and grease all grease fittings
- Inspect the equipment for damages or repairs
- Perform light duty repairs on heavy equipment
- Log all fuel records and repairs
- Perform regular oil services on equipment as scheduled by the Fuel Technician Supervisor
- Report all equipment damage to the Fuel Technician Supervisor
- Check all fluids on equipment
- Maintain Safety
- Ensure all safety procedures are being adhered to
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Work well with others
- Basic mechanic skills
- Understanding of heavy equipment
- Physically able to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy loads
- Communication skills for internal and external customers
- CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
- Mostly field work
- Hours for position will be 6am-4pm, longer days in the summertime, occasional Saturdays
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $26.36 - $39.53 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
- Monthly $25 phone allowance or company phone
